The Octopus' Beer Garden stands as a cherished dream-turned-reality for the Halaas Family. Chef Bob and his dedicated team, including Tonia, Jim, AND HIS LATE WIFE KATHY, collaborated to breathe life into The Captain's Landing back in the memorable year of 2001.
After transforming the scenic riverfront property into a tranquil haven of serenity and affection, the owners proudly oversee its operations. Visitors are invited to savor a selection of rotating craft beers on tap, paired with delectable American summer dishes created by our talented chefs. Imbued with the essence of beer, the timeless melodies of the Beatles, and breathtaking views, experience the beauty of our garden as it invites you to relax and enjoy its splendor. Our Children:
Our oldest daughter, Kayla, adeptly wears many hats to seamlessly manage operations both in the front and back of the house. One of her cherished roles involves creating all your favorite dishes in the kitchen alongside our talented sons Robert and Nicholas, as well as our dedicated daughter-in-law Jessica. Each meal is crafted with care by ALL our children, while Jessica excels in single-handedly maintaining the beauty of our gardens. We are immensely grateful for the remarkable family that helps lead this business we hold dear. As our family grows, with two charming grandsons and another grandchild eagerly awaited, our sense of joy and pride only deepens.
